AS THE FIRST CHEMICAL FERTILIZER COMPANY, GÜBRETAŞ (GÜBRE FABRİKALARI T.A.Ş.), LEADING TO MANY INNOVATIONS FROM 1952 TO PRESENT, ARE GETTING READY TO STRONGER FUTURE BY COMBINING ESTABLISHED EXPERIENCE WITH ITS GLOBAL VISION.
After the steps which strengthened its production infrastructure in previous years, GÜBRETAŞ transferred its innovative mentality to the approach of new products, technological infrastructure and human resources in 2015.
In addition to special products added to product portfolio, GÜBRETAŞ, keeping its market leadership with its market share in 2015,
is ready to rise in the market with our new brand GÜBRETAŞ Bahçem and sales of TARKİM products in the area of plant protection…
Especially, by means of transition to technological integration providing optimization of supply chain and the performance based human resources systems, GÜBRETAŞ has completed the infrastucture of a rapid growth process for upcoming years.
By virtue of the synergy created with our main shareholder, Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, and our affiliates, we continue taking steps to strong future with new targets at domestic and abroad.
WE EXPANDED OUR PRODUCT PORTFOLIO AND SALES TEAM IN PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS WITH THE EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTORSHIP AGREEMENT, WHICH IS SIGNED BY OUR AFFLIATE TARKIM.
WE WON 2 BRONZE AWARDS WITH PRODUCT PACKAGES, WHICH ARE RENEWED IN ACCORANCE WITH CUSTOMERS EASE OF USE, AND 3 SILVER AWARDS IN INTERNATIONAL REVIEWS WITH PREVIOUS YEARS’ ANNUAL REPORT.
WITH TWO NEW MODERN COMPOUND-
FERTILIZER PLANTS, WHICH STARTED-
OPERATING IN YARIMCA, A COST-
EFFICIENT AND ENVIRONMENT-
FRIENDLY PRODUCTION BECAME-
POSSIBLE. THANKS TO THIS, WE-
COMPLETED 2015 WITH 32 PERCENT-
INCREASE IN PRODUCTION.-
DESPITE THE DECREASE IN GLOBAL COMMODITY PRICES AND DEMAND SHRINKAGE IN TURKISH MARKET RELATED WITH THE VAT-DEDUCTION EXPECTATIONS IN THE LAST QUARTER, WE INCREASED THE CONSOLIDATED REVENUES BY 3 PERCENT.
AS AN IMPORTANT STEP IN INNOVATIVE PRODUCT CONCEPT, WE GOT TOGETHER WITH URBAN POPULATION BY CARRYING OUR 64-YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION TO GARDEN AND ORNAMENT PLANTS UNDER “GÜBRETAŞ BAHÇEM” BRAND.
WE COMPLETED A STEP TO STRENGTHEN OUR-
FINANCIAL STRUCTURE BY INCREASING OUR-
AUTHORIZED CAPITAL FROM 200, -M TRY-
TO 1.000, -M TRY FOLLOWING THE-
APPEAL IN JANUARY 2015.-
WE RETOOK THE OPERATING RIGHTS OF ISKENDERUN-
FACILITY, WHERE OUR FIRST PLANT IS BUILT, IN-
MID-2015 AND IN THE BEGINNING OF 2016 WE STARTED-
PROVIDING SERVICES IN THESE FACILITIES AFTER-
MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS.-
-AS ANOTHER STEP IN INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT CONCEPT, WE TOOK STEPS TO-
-STRENGHTEN OUR IT INFRASTRUCTURE IN ORDER TO PREPARE GÜBRETAŞ FOR-
-FUTURE. WITH THE SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION PROJECT, THE DIGITAL-
-INTEGRATION WAS PROVIDED TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY IN EVERY STAGE FROM-
-PROCUREMENT TO ARRIVAL TO CUSTOMERS AND WITH INNOVATIVE PRACTICES;-
-CORPORATE WEBSITE WAS RENEWED, SALES WERE CARRIED TO E-COMMERCE-
-PLATFORMS AND EGP (EFFECTIVE FERTILIZATION PROGRAMMES) WERE PROVIDED-
-TO FARMERS ALSO IN DIGITAL PLATFORMS BY MOBILE APPLICATIONS.-

General Manager
Kazım Çalışkan was graduated from Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University and he completed his master education in Boston University. He has worked in various levels of General Directorate of Revenues, The Ministry of Finance for 12 years. After his coming from abroad, he was appointed as the department head in the General Directorate of Revenues. After the duty of the deputy chairman of Privatization Administration between 2005 and 2007, and the duty of the Director of Tobacco, Tobacco Products and Alcoholic Beverages Market Regulation Board between 2007 and 2009, he has taken office in TGS Yer Hizmetleri A.Ş. ve THY-Opet A.Ş.as the Deputy General Manager of Turkish Airlines until 2013. After the duties in Doğanlar Yatırım Holding as CEO and in İDM as General Manager, he has continued his career as the Deputy General Manager in the Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives from April 2015 to present.
After graduating from Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture in 1988, he started to work in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives Ankara Regional Union in 1989. After working in Keskin and Akyurt Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, he has worked in the various units of Supply and Marketing Department in the Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives as of 1994. After the duty of Chairmanship of Marketing Department, he is still working as Plant Protection and Nutrition Manager in Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.
He graduated from Atatürk University, Agricultural Faculty in 1986. He started to his proffessional career in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives Ankara Region Union in 1989. After serving as the Chief and Regional Deputy Manager, he worked as the Manager of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives Trabzon Regional Union between 2007-2011 and as the Manager of Sakarya Regional Union between 2011-2012. After he has worked as manager of Agricultural Credits Cooperatives Officers Retirement Fund Foundation between 2012 and 2014, he is working as the manager of TACC Ankara Region Union.
After he completed his undergraduate and master education at the Department of Public Finance, Hacettepe University, he started to his career as Finance and Foreign Trade Specialist in private sector. He started to work as Assistant Inspector in Central Union of Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives in 2007 and he took the title of Inspector in the same institution in 2010. While he was working as an inspector, he was appointed to Head of Counseling and Inspection Board on February 2016 in Central Union of Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.
He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law in 1991 and he completed his master’s degree in Gazi University. Working in the Court of Accounts between the years 1992 - 2002, Mr. Kutlu carried out many projects throughout 12 years about Human Resources, Regulation and Support Services and put them into action in Türk Telekom A.Ş. where he was assigned as Deputy General Manager in 2003. He was a Member of the Board in TCDD (Turkish State Railways) and TÜRKSAT. He started to his duty as General Manager and executive member of the Board of Gübretaş on February 2015.Meanwhile, he is continuing his duties as the member of the Board of Razi Petrochemical Co., Raintrade Petrokimya A.Ş. and Negmar Denizcilik Yatırım A.Ş.; as the Chairman of the Board of Arya Phosphoric Co..
While he completed his undergraduate education in Faculty of Agriculture, Ankara University in 1987, he took his master (1990) and PhD degree (1996) in Science Institution, Ege University. He worked as Research Assistant and Associate Professor in Faculty of Agriculture, Selçuk University between 1998 and 2006. In the same institution, he became Associate Professor in 2006 and then professor in 2011. In addition to his duty as lecturer, he took office in the Board of Directors of Konya Branch, the chamber of Agriculture Engineers between 2008 and 2013. Boyraz, who works as specialist in various projects and is still continuing his duty in Selçuk University, has more than 50 articles and 3 lesson books in the national and international journals.
He was graduated from İstanbul University, Law Faculty in 1992. He completed master and PhD degree in Social Science Institution, Marmara University. Between 1993 and 1999, he served as Research Assistant in Kırıkkale University. He has been visiting lecturer in ITU Architecture Faculty, since 2002 and in Kadir Has University, Law Faculty since 2007. While he has been publishing lots of academic articles and book in the area Trade Law, Intellectual and Industrial Property Law and European Union Law, he was the member of Intellectual Rights Commission in İstanbul Bench between 2001 and 2006. He has also been carrying out his duty as an expert in
this area.
He completed his undergraduate program in Gazi University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences. He started his career as Inspector in Ziraat Bankası and then he took office different kind of duties in this institution between 1990 and 1997. Then, he was General Manager in Ziraat Yatırım A.Ş. and Halk Yatırım A.Ş. in the period of 1997-2001. He was the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directros in Halk Bankası between 2001 and 2010, then the Chairman of the Board of Directors in T. Vakıflar Bankası between 2010 and 2011 and finally TMSF Presidential Adviser between 2011 and 2013 in addition to duty of membership of the Board of Directors in the subsidiaries of the aforementioned institutions. He is still working as the independent member of the Board of Directors in Nuh Çimento A.Ş and Panora GYO A.Ş..

He graduated from Istanbul University, Business Administration Faculty in 1984. He started his career at the Turkish Development Bank and served at several positions until 1998. He assumed the top management position in several organizations between 1998-2004. He started to serve as the Deputy General Manager at GÜBRETAŞ in 2004. In addition, he still continues his duty as the Chairman of Board of Directors at Arya Phosphoric Jonoob Co. and the member of Board of Directors
of Razi Petrochemical Co.. Ferhat Şenel knows English. He is married and has
two children.
He graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture in 1988 and Anadolu University in 1998. He then received a master’s degree from Dumlupınar University, Institute of Social Sciences. After working in various senior positions at Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, he started to work as the Deputy General Manager of GÜBRETAŞ in 2006. Tahir OKUTAN is the chairman of the Board of Directors Tarkim Bitki Koruma A.Ş.. He is married and has two children.
He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1990. After completing his master’s degree and doctorate abroad, he returned back to Turkey in 2003. After his duty as the instructor in Atılım University, he worked in TÜRKSAT A.Ş. as the Member of Board of Directors and as the Vice General Director between the years 2004-2008. He served as a manager in the private sector for a while. Being assigned as the Deputy General Manager in GÜBRETAŞ as of January 2015, Mr. Duman is still working as the Member of Board of Directors in Raintrade Petrokimya A.Ş. and Etis Lojistik A.Ş. Şenol Duman knows English and Arabic. He is married and has two children.
He graduated from Yıldız Technical University in 1990. He completed his master’s degree and doctorate education in the USA in 1997. He took master’s degree in Business Administration Department in Colorado University. He worked at Sea Technology company, a hard disk producer, between the years 1998-2008. He respectively carried out manager duties in Turkish Airlines (THY) and Katar Airlines between 2008-2013. After being the General Director of Yıldız Teknopark in the period of 2013-2015, he became the Deputy General Manager of GÜBRETAŞ in February 2015.) He still carries out the duty of Member of the Board of Directors in İstanbul Lines A.Ş. Mahmut Karaman knows English. He is married and has three children.
